In the chronological sequence the article reviews the main sea campaigns of Don Cossacks to Taman lands of the Ottoman Empire from 1638 till 1697. The author notes the pattern of intensification of Don Cossacks'' sea campaigns during exacerbation of relations between Russia with Crimea and Turkey.
