Theft in information and telecommunication networks

The subject of the study was the provisions of the science of criminalistics on cybercrime, the norms of criminal legislation on crimes in the field of computer information and fraud committed using information and telecommunications networks, including the Internet, as well as the provisions of regulatory legal acts in the field of information security and information technology. The article discusses current and future forms of cybercrime. To do this, a definition of the term is first given to then illustrate individual phenomena in this area of crime. This is followed by an overview of the spread of cybercrime. The research material was domestic regulatory legal acts, as well as statistics on the activities of law enforcement agencies and research by scientists on this topic. As a result of the study, the main methods of cyber fraud were identified in the following areas: holding contests on social networks, Internet trade, charity, labor legal relations.
