Moscow region: reanimation of the sphere of tourism and its state in the era of the coronavirus pandemic (2000-2021)

A retrospective analysis of the development of the tourism sector of the Moscow region is carried out. On the basis of statistical data, the dynamics and state of the economic indicators of the tourism sector of the region are shown by indicators: tourist flows, the number of collective accommodation facilities and the number of persons placed in them, the volume of paid services provided to the population in the tourism sector in comparison with all-Russian indicators. The influence of the coronavirus pandemic factor on the state of activity of the tourism industry enterprises of the Moscow region is considered and opportunities for the development of tourism in the low season and weekend tours are identified.
