Special attention is paid to the meaning of the epigraph and the author's comments. The work reveals the semantic content of the key motifs of the poem associated with the sacralization of the image of the last Russian Emperor. Evangelical reminiscences are revealed, a characteristic of the semantic motif of holiness is given in its relation to the motifs of atonement for the sin, suffering, love, sacrifice, sacred retribution. Parallels are drawn between the image of the Russian Emperor and the image of Christ; allusions to literary texts of the 19th century, which meaningfully reveal the motive of treason, are presented.
