Motivational-value indicator of social responsibility in people with disabilities in professional activities

Problem and purpose: The article is devoted to the problem of social responsibility of disabled people as a motivational and value basis of active life position, their self-realization and self-actualization in professional activity. The purpose of the article is to identify the content of the structural components of social responsibility, the relationship of motivational and value sphere and personal qualitative characteristics of social responsibility in the professional activities of disabled people. The article presents a review of literature on the development of social responsibility: philosophical, psychological aspects, as well as literature on the problem of active life position of disabled people. Methodological basis of the research is the concept of active-life position, developed in the studies of S.F. Anisimova, L.M. Arkhangelsky, I.S. Morozova; the concept of humanitarian technologies of personalitysocialization, developed in the research of A.P. Guseva; the concept of technologies for socialization of disabled people contained in the research works of A.A. Artamonova, V.M. Ivanova, A.G. Krasnozhon, I.M. Paramonova, V.P. Pryadenny; the works of A. Maslow, V. Frankl, B.S., Bratus who investigated the valuemotivational sphere of personality; works by V.M. Ivanova, M.V. Kargalova, V.G. Afanasyeva, A.P. Burenko, A.I. Orekhovsky who studied social responsibility of a person and revealed that social responsibility reflects social activity in all spheres of life and is manifested in various relations connected, first of all, with satisfaction of the needs of an individual and with his/her interests. In the course of the study the authors used the questionnaire “Motivation for success” by T. Ehlers which was modified by A. V. Gruzintsev and applied in studying disabled people,s motivation directed to acquiring legal competence; the questionnaire by A. V. Gruzintsev aimed at determining the assessment of social and legal skills of persons with disabilities; the 16-factor questionnaire by R. Kettell which was made use of for identifying the peculiarities of the character, inclinations and interests of an individual; an inquiry form worked out by A. V. Gruzintsev to determine disabled people’s ideas about law. In the conclusion the authors presented the analysis of the research results. Results. On the basis of theoretical analysis of the problem of disabled people’s social responsibility in their professional activity, the content of social responsibility components of disabled people, opportunities of the development in their professional activity were disclosed. The authors managed to determine the value-motivational indicator of these people’s social responsibility reflected in their professional activity. The data obtained confirm the hypothesis about the existence of social responsibility structural components, the correlation of value-motivational sphere, on the one hand, and personal qualitative characteristics of social responsibility in the professional activities of disabled people, on the other. Conclusion. Due to the topicality and practical significance of the problem, the necessity to identify and scientifically substantiate the approaches that contribute to the development of social responsibility of people with disabilities in their professional activities were highlighted in the research. The authors, contribution consists in carrying out theoretical analysis of scientific literature, defining and grounding the methods of research, processing and analyzing the data resulting from the studies of motivational and value-orientation spheres of disabled people’s personal qualities, their social and legal possibilities, responsible attitude to professional occupation and work activity.
