The aim of the study is to consider the work of the great symbolist poet of the Silver Age, K.D. Balmont, through the prism of Muslim culture. The Quran is the holy book of Muslims. The Quranic theme in the poet's work has been little studied, which makes this study urgent. The methodology of the work is based on the synchronic, structural-functional, biographical, and historical-cultural methods. The authors in the course of the work analyzed the religious poems of K.D. Balmont, 12 Sura. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the evaluation that the Muslim religion influenced the poet's worldview, which resulted in the writing of many poems in which Islamic culture and the Koran are anthemise. The conclusion is that the culture of Islam inspired K.D. Balmont to write poems, travel notes, letters, essays; new metaphysical images were created: the Quran, the Allah, pleasure gardens, Kingdom of heaven, hell, hellfire, the wrath of Allah, salaat. The theoretical significance of the study lies in a new look at the problem of cultural identification of the Quran and religious life of Muslim countries through the prism of K.D. Balmonts works. The materials of the study can be used in the teaching of Russian literature of the XX century, seminars and practical classes in specialized secondary and higher educational institutions.
