The analysis of clinical and MR-tomographic data has been made in 40 patients four years after therapeutic arthroscopy for the knee articular cartilage damage. The knee MRT-pattern is demonstrated at the stage of compensation, subcompensation and decompensation of weight-bearing functions depending on different factors. The recovery of articular cartilage for its chondromalacia of 3-4 degree with shaving and mesenchymal stimulation by tunnelization technique doesn't occur. The process of the knee degenerative changes is progressive. The intensity of progressing pathological changes is directly proportional to the manifestation degree of primary pathological changes of articular structures, the duration of existing these changes up to surgical intervention and to the patients' age by the moment of surgical intervention.
