Multiparalytic ultrasonic diagnostics of thyroid nodes

A multiparalytic ultrasound screening system has been developed to diagnose thyroid diseases. It includes two components: a medical section and a computer information support system. The medical section provides for record keeping, three-stage ultrasound examination and the use of additional diagnostic methods, including fine-needle puncture of the thyroid gland under ultrasound guidance. The diagnostic algorithm for ultrasound examination of the thyroid gland provides an assessment of the anatomical structure of the organ, its location relative to bone structures, size, echo structure and echogenicity. Additionally, the condition of the lymph nodes of the neck is assessed.
