In 450 BC, the Greek philosopher Protagoras stated that human is nothing more than a set of sensations. The sense organs are the main channel for receiving information from the outside world by a person. That is why it is necessary to rely on a multisensory approach in designing not only separate tourist attractions, but also entire destinations. The correct location of emotional zones in the tourist territory, that is not competing, can improve the quality of services offered to tourists, positively affect their emotional perception of the place of stay and have a significant impact on the tourist experience. The multisensory approach is actively used in the United States of America, China, Italy, Norway, and other countries. This article is intended to contribute to the analysis of the application of the multi-sensory approach in the creation of tourist destinations of Russian-speaking spaces. As an example of the use of a multisensory approach, namely emotional mapping, the experience of visitors to the art park a "Shtykovskie Prudi" (Primorsky Krai, Shtykovo) was investigated, and an emotional map of the park was compiled.
