Muslim clothing in Russia: women’s fashion trends

The paper focuses on Muslim fashion among ordinary believers at the intersection of the zones of influence of secular urban fashion and Muslim tradition. The “modest fashion” style, which aims to bring together the tastes of people who prefer to dress modestly, regardless of religious and secular clothing preferences, is considered. In our work, we have provided an overview of information sources from the Internet and specialized scientific literature concerning Muslim fashion, the history of costume and religion. As a result of the work, the attributes of Muslim and modest fashion were identified. Their similarities and differences were shown, which can be practically applied by specialists (designers, stylists, marketing experts, sociologists, culturologists, etc.) when assessing the fashion trends and preferences in the choice of clothing among Muslims
