Male graves of the pre-Scythian period with the deceased lying in the extended position at Zayukovo-3 (2015 excavations of the joint North Caucasus archaeological expedition of the GIM, KBSU and IA RAS)

The paper reviews two graves of the Koban culture at the Zayukovo-3 burial ground in Kabardino-Balkaria. The graves are noted for an extended position of the deceased which is not typical for the Koban burial grounds. The funerary offerings from the graves were examined within a broader context of the analogies originating at the western type of the Koban cemeteries and in the adjacent areas.
