Music industry: current state and perspectives of development

The article deals with the evolution of music recording and storage technology in theworld and Russia. The analysis of dynamics of sales in the market of audio carriersin Russia and the world is carried out. The current state of the industry is analyzedon the basis of data on attendance and the cost of entrance tickets for 2013-2017by the example of the largest festivals of different musical genres. The conclusionabout prospects of reproduction technologies development of musical works andmusical festivals in Russia is formulated.
