Бесплатный доступ

The article focuses on the cultural transmission that contributes to the development of the spiritual experience of mankind. East and West are the two areas forming the world. The author focuses on German Protestant choral. According to her this religious musical and poetic genre became one of the key elements in the formation of a unique phenomenon of modern world civilization – the largest Protestant community in the XXth century South Korea. The research of the semiotic continuum of Protestant chorales through the phenomenon of metatext allows to trace cyclicity and openness of the transmission process. Exploring the example of South Korea, the author follows the civilization approach which treats the transmission as an important principle of the evolution of culture. The interaction with the cultural heritage of Western Protestantism intensified the development of national musical culture (both religious and secular) in South Korea.
