This article examines the contribution of N.F. Demidova to the research of the history of Ufa city and the development of the science of history in the Republic of Bashkortostan. Despite the fact of immense popularity of her works among the historians of Bashkortostan, the proper assessment of her work hasn’t been given yet. Natalia Fedorovna Demidova is a prominent historian, a source studies scholar, a specialist in auxiliary historical disciplines. A profound effect on Demidova’s research interests were made by N.V. Ustyugov.
