Nation-building in PRC: on the route towards civil nation

The article deals with current situation in national autonomous regions of the People’s Republic of China. There is the analysis of the peculiar properties of the PRC autonomous regions, characteristic features of some areas, approaches of authorities to ethnic segregation and consequences of national policy conducting there. Basing on the factual material, the author points out that the written language is the primary subject that unites currently the mainland China. The modern conceptions formulated by the leaders of the Communist Party of China are considered, they regard the Chinese nation and principles of its building. It is noted that China under Xi Jinping leadership can perform a project of building «moderately prosperous society» and it will be the evidence of final rooting the civil nation concept in the PRC.
