National security and problems of migration in modern Russia

In conditions of growing external threats, uncontrolled migration is a serious threat to modern Russia. Today the pre-existing rules of the movement of labour force in the global economy have been seriously violated. On the other hand, in conditions of unfavorable demographic situation and systematic reduction of the working-age population in-migration is a significant factor of compensation for natural population decline. Therefore, Russia needs a well thought-out strategy of the migration policy taking into account the current realities.
