National idea as a determinant of self-determination and consolidation of the Pridnestrovian people

The article considers the issue of search and formation of the Pridnestrovian national idea and analyzes the initial processes of the Pridnestrovian statehood as the basis for the national idea formation. The author analyzes national idea as a collective creative work, a long-term strategy and a choice of the way of development. The article suggests a conclusion that the main components of the national idea bases on the theses of the 2006 National Referendum as a dual unity of the strategic choice: the independence of Transnistria and the subsequent reunification with Russia. The author proposes a formula «Return to Russia on the basis of the Pridnestrovian statehood consolidation» as the Pridnestrovian national idea and subjects nonscientific and unpopular ones to constructive criticism.
