Russia’s national interests in the context of food security of the country under the conditions of world economy globalization

The article deals with a problem of development of the agrarian sector of the Russian Federation in terms of contemporary economic and political conditions, in particular, in the context of Russia’s accession to the WTO and the Custom union. The authors describe in detail two possible options of agrarian policy, which are developed under the influence of the liberal economic model and the model of almost completely state-governed economy. Among effective measures, implementation of which may contribute to increase of the Russian agro-industrial complex competitiveness, the authors mention development and implementation of the programs focused on support of the agro-industrial complex and adoption of the political course aimed at the protection of the national agro-industrial producers.
