The article is devoted to the investigation of the national linguocultural component role in the bilateral communication structure in the frame of cross-cultural communication. Positive and negative types of politeness which characterize different ethnic groups are in the focus of the researchers' scientific attention; verbal units which identify these groups in the sphere of communication competence are analyzed.
