Extramedullary osteosynthesis of fractures of distal meteepyphisis of radius bone with the use of volar surgical access

Distal radius fractures are one of the most commonly encountered types of upper extremitiesfractures. Surgical strategy for the treatment of distal radius fractures is becoming more and more justified. Nowadays, volar locking plate fixation for the surgical treatment of distal radius fractures has got the greatest popularity and practical application. We report our technique for volar surgical approachfor the treatment of distal radius fractures using volar locking plates.
