Tax on sugar-containing beverages: analysis of international experience and best practices

In recent decades, most governments have introduced taxes on unhealthy food and beverages to reduce the risk of obesity. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of sugar-containing beverages consumption on the risk of obesity in Mexico, the UK and South Africa and in other countries before and after the taxation of sugar-containing beverages.
