A pectoral icon from the early 15th century with a depiction of Saint Nicholas the wonder-worker

The object investigated in this article is a small bronze pectoral icon with established chronology and bearing a depiction of St. Nicholas the Wonder-Worker. The style and iconography of this work of art are examined in the context of the evolution of art in Medieval Russia. The indissoluble link between the discussed piece of minor arts and monumental painting is emphasized. The article provides the data regarding the composition of the alloy were obtained using the method of micro-spectral analysis.
