Directions of international cooperation of the city of Ulan-Ude with the cities of Mongolia

The article is devoted to the problem of international cooperation of cities on the example of twinning of Ulan-Ude and Mongolian Darkhan. During the consideration of the material based on the data taken from the state archive of the Republic of Buryatia, periodicals and analysis of electronic sources, the authors conclude that in the course of the formation and development of external relations in accordance with the agreement on friendly relations of cities were formed the main directions - political, economic, medical, sports, cultural, there was a certain system of forms and methods, the main of which were the exchange of official delegations, days or weeks of friendship, the exchange of art collectives and art artifacts, youth mobility. The duration of external relations, the ever-expanding list of twin cities indicate the effectiveness, mutual benefit and the need for such activities.
