Trends of development of Russian border regions and small and medium sized cities in the context of Eurasian integration

The paper analyzes the main trends of integration processes in the post-Soviet space. Based on the early works, the author defines the main directions of development of different levels economic systems. The paper supports the opinion about linking of production process in the Russia and Belorussia. One develops aspects of service and transit functions. In the recommendations is accent on small and medium sized cities as objects with a smaller set of possibilities.
