The paper considers the coverage of the French Popular Front (1936-1938) by the most influential periodicals of the Russian liberal political emigration. The magazines “Novaya Rossia" (New Russia), “Poslednie novosti" (Recent News) had no pronounced anticommunist attitude. Their interpretation of the Popular Front’s activities and internal and foreign policy of the French government showed lack of the opinions unity.
