Narratives of cultural policy in modern society

The article is devoted to the importance of the main guiding ideas in modern societies. The terminological and conceptual field of cultural policy in multinational states is analyzed. An explanation of the use of the term metanarration is given. The necessity of cross-cultural study of this topic is substantiated. Conclusions about the existence of the need for manifestation of the main guiding ideas in modern Russian society in the context of ongoing social changes are presented. Positions of some theoretical approaches to this question are characterized. It is concluded that the theory of multiculturalism has a significant potential as a methodological basis for cultural policy in a multicultural society.
