Violation of the rights of military personnel as a reason for their suicides and crimes

This article deals with violations of the rights of military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, leading to their suicide or committing crimes, including the murder of their colleagues and commanders. The study provides a legal assessment of violations of constitutional and international law, Federal laws and regulations that occur in military units. Empirically established illegally concealed by the Russian Defense Ministry information about the deaths of soldiers, including their suicides, a comparative analysis of the prevalence of this phenomenon in society, correctional institutions and the army. It is concluded that the Ministry of defence failed to ensure strict observance of the rights of soldiers in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation, which leads to their suicides and also committing other crimes, including such as a result of which injured other soldiers. The solution of the problem under consideration is proposed, which consists in creating a specialized management body independent of the command of the military unit, competing with it in the field under consideration.
