Modern data indicate a disordered information processing in schizophrenia not only at the central, but also at the peripheral level of the function of analyzers. The materials presented in the article confirm the disturbance of perception already at the level of the first neurons of sensory analyzers. The brain receives incorrect (erroneous) messages, based on which incorrect (false) conclusions are made. And these untrue conclusions can be extrapolated to different judgments, which leads to formal impairment of patients' thinking and underlies the positive symptoms of schizophrenia. Similar disturbances of information processing in different analyzers indicate a widespread deficit in schizophrenia at all levels of predictive coding in different areas of the brain. Thus, the prevalence of changes in almost all regions of the brain in patients with schizophrenia probably indicates an early occurrence of this pathology.
