127 palliative patients with chronic pain were examined. Various forms of impaired adherence to treatment (noncompliance) were detected in 68.5%. Non-compliance with the analgesic regimen dominated (74.7%). One in three (35.6%) performed a change of recommended analgesic. In 21.8% of patients, this led to an incorrect choice of the drug; 18.4% of people indicated a targeted reduction in the dose of the analgesic. The noted violations were the cause of insufficient analgesic effect in 76.9% of patients. In conclusion, the authors conclude that it is necessary to introduce educational models into clinical practice that can increase the level of compliance and analgesic effect.
