Multiple sclerosis (MS) is one of the most common diseases of the central nervous system, which in the vast majority of cases is diagnosed in young people. Among the complaints made by patients, there are often complaints of sleep disturbances. Despite the fact that such complaints belong to the so-called “minor symptoms” of multiple sclerosis, their presence significantly reduces the quality of life in this category of patients. The authors provide a review of the literature on the characteristics of sleep disorders in patients with multiple sclerosis, provide a list of scales used to assess sleep indicators, as well as typical disorders characteristic of patients with multiple sclerosis.
