The article is devoted to the problem of organizing the food problem in the rear among the population during this period. The paper considers the features of the daily organization of food supply to the population during the war. The author reveals the main problems facing the authorities to solve the food problem in the rear. The specifics of the organization of the process in a specific region of the USSR (Kuibyshev region) are determined. Solutions are structured, as well as problems that resulted from the food disaster. Special attention is paid to the organization of public catering for party employees, as well as in labor production. The feature of food supply for the transit flow of evacuated people is determined.
