Scientific heritage R.S. Belkin and its impact on the formation and development of criminalistic science

In framework of celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Russian police the article is devoted to the review of the scientific experience of Rafail Samuilovich Belkin, the famous forensic scientist, the author of a huge number of scientific works on a wide range of issues of criminology and forensic examination, the honored scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Law, Professor, police Major General, participant of the Great Patriotic war, who made an invaluable contribution to the forensic science and to the practical activities of law enforcement agencies on the detection, investigation and prevention of crimes.
