Scientific approaches to the research of international transport infrastructure

The article is devoted to the analysis of approaches to the research of international transport infrastructure. Three theoretical approaches are presented; the scientific contribution of scientists to the development of this concept is indicated; the theoretical foundations of the approaches are determined. The first approach is based on a broad perception of the concept, scientists put the entire transport as a branch of the economy into the content of the concept; the second approach is based on the research of the transport network and transport facilities attached to a certain territory; the third approach is based on the research of transport within the boundaries of transport corridors. The first two approaches have made a significant contribution to understanding the central issues of transport infrastructure, including international. The specificity of the third approach is an alternative to the first and second approaches deployed in space and time. It should be noted that scientists in their scientific research often combine them together, expanding the scope of their research and considering the international transport infrastructure, both in the broad and narrow sense of the word. A discussion of the results of the research is presented, the application of a spatial-temporal approach to the research of international transport infrastructure is proposed.
