Scientific knowledge and mystical experience in Russian neo-paganism

The article reviews the sources used by the Russian neo-pagans to recreate the pagan faith. In recent years, the leaders of Russian largest pagan associations conduct a serious selection of literature in favour of ethnographic research. The author makes particular reference to the importance of mystical experience in the pagan ritual activities. Neo-pagans do not reject the achievements of modern science, but they express their opinion about inability to rationalize the Pagan beliefs
