Scientific Discourse on the Problem of the Participation of the Russian Orthodox Church in Interreligious and Interfaith Dialogue in Russian Studies of the Last Five Years

The topic is relevant due to the importance of preserving interreligious and interfaith dialogue in our multinational country and its external interaction. The aim of the article is to analyze and systematize modern scientific publications on this problem through the prism of the peacemaking potential of the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as to develop recommendations on promising directions for further research. More than 30 scientific works, including dissertations and scientific articles, are analyzed. The authors classify these works, categorizing them into five thematic areas and characterize the publications in each group. Based on the analysis of scientific works for the last five years, the thematic groups of publications with a high degree of development are identified, as well as promising topics for further research. Conclusions about the importance of scientific discourse on various aspects of interreligious and interfaith dialogue are formulated. The authors expressed a desire to clarify the use of the definitions “confessional” and “religious” in the framework of the discourse.
