Reading skills as an element of the content of literary education

The article is devoted to the study of the theoretical foundations of the formation of basic reading skills. The author describes the role of reading in the formation of personality, gives a justification for the concept of "reading skill", and also reveals the specifics of the formation of reading skills in the framework of literary education.
