The assignment of punishment to the individuals recognized as patients with drug dependence: issues of law enforcement practice

The article is analyzed the procedure and grounds of assignment of punishment to the individuals recognized as patients with drug dependence. The author of this article is discussed the most urgent issues arising on application of the provisions of the Articles № 72.1 and № 82.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. It is said about the need of continued legislative regulation of the legal relations developing between the researched category of individuals, the State and state institutions delivering medical care to patients with drug dependence. The conclusion about humanization of criminal-legal repression in regard to drug-related criminality is drawn.
