Not life but eternal joy: festival management on Lenin's homeland during the Great Terror period

The life of the Soviet people in 1936-1938 years is thoroughly investigated. After the USSR collapse historians recreate the terrible conditions of inmates' accommodation in prisons and concentration camps. They told about the people suffering in long queues, described their experience on goods scarcity, and about their gloomy hardships of workers in communal apartments. Perhaps it should be shown how the masses celebrated holidays.
