Petrochemical industry in Russia: trends and forecasts

The article analyzes the position of petrochemical industry in the structure of Russian industry based on official statistics. Structural changes in the Russian industry for the period 2013 - 2018 are assessed. The position and role of the petrochemical industry are shown on the example of developed countries. Trends in the industry development are analyzed based on the dynamics of the volume of products shipped, investments in fixed assets and the number of employees in the petrochemical industry. The comparative forecast of the volume of shipped products of the petrochemical industry based on three models is given and the main driver of the industry growth is determined.
