Negative impact of heavy metals entering the environment

This article discusses the problem of environmental pollution by heavy metals caused by the activities of industrial enterprises. Heavy industry enterprises of non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy, as well as metalworking and machine-building enterprises, are the main sources of pollution. Specific examples of types of environmental pollution are given, the process of accumulation of heavy metals in the soil, their harmful effects on biocenoses and subsequent entry into food chains are described. In conclusion, the author concludes that it is necessary to constantly monitor soil pollution and its impact on living organisms in order to prevent serious consequences for the environment and humans. Thus, the article emphasizes the importance of taking measures to protect the environment and control emissions of heavy metals into nature.
