Archpriest Alexander Vasilyevich Gorsky (1812–1875), doctor of theology, from 1833 to 1862 headed the chair of church history at the Moscow Theological Academy, and after his appointment as rector — the chair of dogmatic theology. Naturally, the bulk of his scholarly writings were published in the academic edition of Additions to the Works of the Holy Fathers. Practically all materials were published anonymously, but the authorship of archpriest A. V. Gorsky is revealed in the “Index of articles placed in the Additions to the Works of the Holy Fathers for 1843–1864, 1871, 1872, 1880–1886”. At the same time, archpriest A. V. Gorsky published his works in other editions, in which some of the materials remained nameless. In the 1840s‑1850s the anonymity of publications was a common phenomenon due to the double censorship control — secular and spiritual, after the reform of church periodicals in the 1860s‑1870s it is much less frequent. The aim of the research was to search for Fr. Alexander’s writings not included in his legacy in the journals in “Christian Reading” and “Readings in the Society of Lovers of Spiritual Enlightenment”. The proposed publication presents its results.
