Purpose. The paper presents the archaeological location, details of which were obtained during an expedition in 1927 under the leadership of P. S. Mikhno organized of Troitskosavsk local history museum in the area of lake Gusinoe Ozero (Western Transbaikalia). Proceedings of the expedition were not published, and scientific archive S. A. Uspensky (members of the expedition), stored in the local museum Kyakhta. Academician V. A. Obruchev provides valuable information about archaeological sites located around Gusinoe Ozero. During the expedition was found about two dozen archaeological localities, especially - different designs, clearly expressed on the surface of the earth. Among them quantitatively dominate the Bronze Age tombs belonging to two archaeological cultures of this time (culture mounds «kereksur» and Slab Grave Culture); also presents the early Iron Age burial. Most facilities are concentrated in the south-west and north-west of the lake. Results. Landscapes of the territory adjacent to the lake after the crow’s expedition in 1927 were heavily human-induced changes, resulting in many sites could be lost. At this point in the area were only a few archaeological sites. According to the map the archaeological site of the Antiquities of Buryatia only three sites were recorded west of lake. Collection of objects of cultural heritage of Buryatia Archaeological sites contains information about two other localities in the area. Three sites of these locations can be correlated with the objects found by the expedition in 1927. This burials Atsay, Tsaidam and Gusinoe Ozero, which became known scientific community only 50 years after the expedition Mikhno. The second discovery of these burials suggests the possibility of preservation of other archaeological sites identified in 1927, to the present. Conclusion. The researchers paid attention to other designs in addition to burial structures: stone walls, irrigation ditches and stone alley, made of vertically set slabs and near burial complexes. Irrigation ditches near lake Gusinoe Ozero known since the XIX century. But the information is absent in the most recent meetings and maps for archaeological sites in Buryatia. Appointment of stone walls and stone alleys difficult to pinpoint. S. A. Uspensky tied some of them with ritual activities of the ancient population. This assumption is supported by analogy with other cult objects Transbaikalia. However, at the moment in this local area revealed only a few archaeological sites of the more than two dozen marked S. A. Uspensky in his diary and sketch, which makes the manuscript unique source that gives an idea of the archaeological localities, many of which have already been lost.
