Currently, minimally invasive method of treatment of intervertebral hernias is used as a reasonable alternative to conservative treatment at high rates of effectiveness based on the disease, with certain severe conditions of rehabilitation and recovery period after surgery. The benefits of minimally invasive surgery have been known for a long time. In many areas of medicine and partially orthopedics minimally invasive procedures have proven to be the best. However, such operations are not immediately recognized in the medical world. The idea of minimally invasive intervention on the spine seemed unattainable due to the lack of high-tech equipment needed in this field of medicine.Currently, the surgeon requires computers and special x-ray machines for the operation, which must have a high-resolution optical system. Such equipment can be quite expensive, and training requires a lot of effort. That is why endoscopic spine surgery is offered by few clinics. The method of Koss proved to be effective against the background of experimental research - this will be discussed in this article.
