Some aspects of the study of history, economics and culture of Kuban

Russian society during the late 20th century transformations faced with complex moral, political, economic, and cultural issues that can not be solved without the help of the humanities. Russia, traditionally a strong spirituality, their needs in the humanities and humanities. In modern conditions it is important to refer to the source of spiritual wealth and social experience that is embedded in the history of his native land, in particular the Kuban. The article attempts to consider the long process of research into the history, economy and culture of Kuban. The work focuses on the main researchers' pre-revolutionary period. Historians and ethnographers on the heels describe the main stages of economic development of the region, the adaptation of immigrants to the environment of new habitats. In his works, the researchers identified the conditions and forms of life of the Kuban Cossacks in work, home, social, political and cultural life. After the reforms of 1860-1870 years greatly expanded the study of economics, geography, culture and history of the region. In the Kuban were established socio-regional organizations. Publications appeared, which published works on local history of the Kuban. The article noted the activities of not only researchers, but also prominent figures of the period: the teachers, generals, ataman Black Sea Cossack Army. Considerable attention is paid to the typography and the development of librarianship in the Kuban.
