Some aspects of personal security in the modern world

In the Russian Federation, almost every person uses modern communication technologies on a daily basis. But these technologies, in addition to the convenience in transmitting and receiving information, carry threats of a different nature. The main problem is that the Internet cannot ensure the preservation of a person's personal data from third parties who can use them to commit illegal acts. Separately, the carelessness of the citizens themselves in matters of personal security in the information environment stands out. Since the field of communication technologies is constantly and rapidly developing, the issue of protecting the individual from threats arising from the use of communication technologies is quite acute. The measures taken do not always correspond to the threats in a timely manner. In this article, the author provides a brief overview of the situation in the field of cybersecurity, and also suggests measures to improve the situation in this area.
