The article is devoted to the analysis of the localization of the military conflict between the central power of Georgia, Southern Ossetian Republic and Abkhazia, and Russian Federation who had undertaken the role of peacemaker. The author interprets this military conflict in a broad sense, as one of the provocative confrontations in the Caucasian region which had aggravated at the post-Soviet period.
