Aspects of conducting operational-search measures when documenting crimes of illegal trafficking in drugs done in a contactless method, and assessment of their results

Introduction: the article attempts to consider some of the features and difficulties in the course of operational-search activities and the use of such results in the disclosure and investigation of criminal cases on illegal drug trafficking in a non-contact way, as a result of which the author highlights certain organizational and legal problems and suggests some ways to solve them, and also comes to the corresponding theoretical and applied conclusions in the designated area. Materials and methods: for the study, general scientific and special methods of scientific knowledge were used, such as systemic, comparative legal, the method of logical deduction and induction, as well as methods of interpretation, structural analysis and observation. The legal basis of the study was legislative acts regulating the identification and prevention of drug crimes committed by contactless means. The result of the study identified the main challenges faced by operational staff in documenting drug offences. and to identify the most common errors in the conduct of operational-search measures in cases of illegal trafficking in narcotic substances by a contactless method. Findings and conclusions: the analysis of operational documents on drug trafficking cases indicates the objective need to further develop theoretical provisions and practical proposals when documenting criminal activities related to illicit drug trafficking committed by remote means.
