Some aspects of the development of non-cash payments and settlements using electronic money in the Kyrgyz Republic

This article examines some aspects of the reform, the purpose of which was to create modern payment systems in the republic, which started in 2003. After the start, five years later, a batch clearing system for small retail and regular payments was operating in the Kyrgyz Republic; a unified interbank processing center providing payments for goods and services; salary projects were implemented through the use of the national payment card "Elkart"; a gross system designed to carry out quick and final settlements on transactions in financial markets and other large and urgent payments.
