Some data on pottery of Osipovskaya and Mariinskaya cultures of the Lower Amur region

The paper describes results of the comprehensive study of pottery traditionsthrough the prism of technological processes, shapes and ornamentation of vesselsdeveloped by the Osipovka and Mariinskoye Neolithic cultures in the Russian AmurRegion. The Osipovka culture is the earliest on our planet and its pottery reflects first stagesof pottery development in the history of humanity. The Mariinskoye pottery characterizesthe next period of pottery development and is dated to the Early Neolithic of this region.The authors conclude that these cultures were left behind by different ethnocultural groupsof the earliest population.
