Some morphological features of whale lice (Cyamus scammoni)

Like many animal species, whales have their own set of parasitic organisms that have adapted to their structural features in order to live as efficiently as possible at the expense of their host. Such parasites include the so-called whale lice - cyamuses. In this paper, the features of morphology and adaptation to the parasitic lifestyle of whale lice of the Cyamus scammoni species are considered.
